WALKING

Walking the coastal path

Readymoney is very popular with walkers all year round as Fowey is right on both the South West Coast Path and The Saints Way.

We are proud to be a Waymaker for the South West Coast Path Association and are now acting as one of the first stamping points in the trial of their new South West Coast Path Passports. The SWCPA are the charity who look after this very popular walking route, in fact the UK's longest and best-loved national trail. The 630 mile route between Minehead and Poole provides a myriad of walks of differing lengths, whether circular or A to B and the SWCPA website can help you locate accommodation en route and great places to eat and drink. If long distance walking isn't your thing there are lots of great family friendly circular routes to choose from too, click here for more information about day walks, often with a handy pub on the way!

A slightly less well known distance walk is the Cornish Celtic Way Originally designed as a pilgrimage this 125 mile route takes you from St Germans along the coast via Looe, across from Polruan, picking up The Saints Way inland up out of Fowey towards Padstow then back down along the coast towards Newquay and St Ives with another short inland hop across St Michael's Way to finish at St Michael's Mount. This route is divided into 16 walks which can be done in one go over 12 days or split into sections as suits. You can find their passport here.

You'll find both passport stamps right next to our handy water bottle refill tap on the left hand side as you come in the shop doors so why not make the most of both. No obligation to buy anything but we do have a wonderful selection of tasty items to help you on your way. Click here to find out more about what we sell.
