Part Time Senior Team Member

Are you looking for some extra hours? Due to changes in existing staff availability, we are currently looking to add someone new to our small team at Readymoney Beach Shop. This is a permanent year round as the beach shop is open every day except Christmas Day.

🍰 Flexibility to work additional hours to cover annual leave or sickness is a bonus but not essential

⚠️ This role is suitable for over 18's only

⏰ Hours will vary as the shop opening hours change seasonally but shifts are typically between four to six hours long. 

📆 We operate two shifts per day. Earliest start time will be 8am, latest finish time will be 7pm depending on shift time. You will ideally have the flexibility to work either shift.

💙 You must be available to work on a Saturday (alternating between morning and afternoon shifts) together with up to two other fixed days per week. See note below.

☕️ Catering/hospitality/retail experience preferred but not essential. Previous barista experience would be a bonus but training will be given. This job involves a lot of making coffee and scooping ice-cream!

Job Description: Senior Shop Assistant

• Exemplary customer service with exceptional manners at all times           
• Preparing drinks including coffee using a professional espresso machine.
• Scooping and serving ice-cream and managing the ice-cream freezer
• Cooking pasties and pastries in accordance with good food hygiene practices
• Serving customers and dealing with payments, cash and card
• Maintaining an overview of retail and cafe stock in order to identify ordering needs and restocking as necessary
• Supervising junior staff members during busy peak periods
• On-the-go and end of day cleaning
• Ensuring that all opening and closing checks are completed without exception every shift
• Cashing up and end of day reporting using till system
• Providing local information about the area to customers
• Cleaning and checking the public toilets
• Lone working off-season
• Key-holder
• Picking online orders
