Title

Local author Liz Hurley (no, not THAT Liz Hurley...) has reinvented the classic walking book with her series of Cornish walks. We now stock six books in the series as well as a book of cycling routes. Each walk is accompanied by a map, an elevation and colour photos with clear and concise instructions plus interesting and engaging points of interest such as seasonal recipes, I-Spy, short stories and relevant historical information together with details of and nearby local attractions to make a day of it.

Walking with Dogs Between Truro & Fowey

An absolute must for dog lovers. Eleven walks ranging from 2 to 7 miles, all of which have been stringently route tested by two manic springer spaniels and their obedient humans. The majority of each walk can be done off lead if so required and each walk is written with dogs in mind so avoiding livestock, cliffs and traffic where possible and ending near dog bins and water sources.

Walking in the Fowey Area

Described as one of the best Cornish walking guides ever. Walk through myths and legends, literary landscapes and lost industries. See if you can spot where a dragon was slain, or a King cut down, play on the river which inspired Wind in the Willows or return to Manderley and walk through the landscape of du Maurier's books. Eleven walks ranging from 2 to 11 miles.

Top Walks in East Cornwall

Discover the highlights and hidden corners of East Cornwall. This friendly and informative collection of walks ensures a great day out. These walks cover Fowey to Rame Head in the south, Bude to Padstow in the north and all parts in between including Bodmin Moor. Thirteen circular walks ranging from 2 to 8 miles.

Top Walks in Mid Cornwall

Created to be followed with ease, this book contains twelve walks ranging from 3 to 10 miles. Covering Mevagissey, the Roseland, St Austell, Truro, St Agnes, Newquay, Perranporth, the Eden Project and all parts in between! Each walk includes links to further information with a photo gallery of sights from the walk. Don't miss the fun I-Spy section at the back of the book.

Walking in the Mevagissey Area

Discover historic fishing villages and smuggling ports, travel through Domesday properties and stumble across tiny hamlets and grand country houses. Whether walking through woodland, over fields or along the coast path, you will spend an enjoyable few hours exploring, seeing sights you would otherwise miss, including a trip to the author's own brilliant independent bookshop Hurley Books. Nine walks ranging from 2 to 14 miles.

Walking with Saints and Tinners

This book covers a whopping 100 miles in total and is a really useful guide to some of the longer walking routes in Cornwall. Including two major coast to coast routes, The Saints Way (28 miles from Padstow to Fowey) and St Michael's Way (12 miles from Lelant to Marazion) plus two shorter circular routes exploring more Cornish Saint's routes.

International Shipping

Post Brexit International Shipping has become exceptionally onerous for small businesses, particularly ones like mine which mainly ship domestically. Shipping charges will often vary considerably depending exactly what items are purchased. Your order will be sent via the postage service which most closely matches the amount you have paid for postage. If there is a significant discrepancy we will refund any overpayment and reserve the right to contact you to discuss options in the event of underpayment.

As a small business with minimal margins on our gift products we are unable to absorb shipping costs over and over the amount paid and hope that you will understand this. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a free shipping service internationally.

We will complete the relevant customs forms but will not be responsible for any tax which may be levied for collection within the destination country as this is simply too big and complicated an undertaking for us to deal with when we handle so few international orders. Please make yourself aware of any shipping restrictions pertaining to the destination country. We recommend using this guide before ordering to check that we are able to ship the item you intend to order.
